Janet Bunny Rougas

Janet Wright Rougas, ”Bunny”, 78, of Kingstown Road, Wakefield, died Wednesday. She was the former wife of the late George Rougas Sr. Born in Jamestown, she was a daughter of the late Leslie, Sr. and Janet (Wilson) Wright Holland. Mrs. Rougas worked at and retired from Old Mountain Lanes in Wakefield. A special thank you to Anna for all that you did for our sister and aunt. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel. Surviving are; a brother and his wife, Leslie and Theresa Wright of Bradford; a sister and her husband, Julia and Robert Turner of Homosassa, FL; a sister-in-law, Ann Wright of Westerly; six nephews, Mark, Robert, Charles, Gary, Scott and Todd; four nieces, Terri, Sheila, Carole and Karen; as well as several great nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late George “Butch” Rougas Jr., and sister of the late Charles Wright and Margaret Crandall. A memorial service will be at 11 AM Wednesday in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
