Jane E. Walsh

Jane Elizabeth Shevlin Walsh, 72, of South Kingstown, RI; died January 15, 2014. Jane was born on June 23rd 1941 to the late Arthur and Regina Shevlin of Wakefield, RI. Jane was a graduate of the Covent of the Sacred Heart, Newton, Mass. (1959); a graduate of Garland Jr. College, Boston, Mass. in 1961, completed a Teaching Degree at Rhode Island College in 1963 and taught in Private schools in Providence, RI. Jane is survived by her four children; Tracey Fairbrother, Jennifer McCollum, Justin and Thomas Walsh. She also leaves 10 grandchildren; and her brother Thomas F. Shevlin of New York. Jane will be joining her late husband William E. Walsh Jr, married for 28 years. Jane was an avid tennis player at the Dunes Club and Point Judith Country Club, who won several trophies for the sport she loved. She was also a high spirited person who enjoyed being with family and close friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Rd, Narragansett, RI.
