Jane C. Healy

Jane C. Healy, 95, of Wakefield, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at home. She was the beloved wife for 71 years of Freeman A. Healy Jr. Born in Cary, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Dabney and Sallie (Swicegood) Craddock. She was the mother of Stephen D. Healy of Balston Lake, NY, Mary Beth H. Backer of Okatie, SC, Sally H. Minetti of Wakefield and the late James C. Healy; grandmother of ten and great grandmother of fifteen. She is also survived by a brother C. Robert Craddock of Durham, NC. Mrs. Healy was very devoted to her family and spent many happy hours with her children and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia St., Peace Dale. Visiting hours Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be private.
