Jane Wrinn Dreier, 87, died peacefully on April 13, 2016 in Wakefield, RI. She was born to Edward and Marie Wrinn on March 15, 1929 in Meriden, CT. She was a graduate of the Meriden Hospital School of Nursing. Jane was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert Dreier, her devoted brothers Edward Wrinn, Thomas Wrinn and Charles Wrinn, and wonderful son-in-law James Lawrence. Jane was a caring, devoted mom to her ten children, their spouses, her 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She gave her family so much love and joy and enjoyed spending time with them all. Her legacy to her family is a life well lived, deeply rooted in her faith, and in her quiet strength that touched the lives of all she knew. She was volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels and lay Eucharistic Ministry in both New York and Rhode Island. Jane and her husband raised their family in New York, first in Albany, and then for more than 22 years in Yorktown Heights before retiring in Rhode Island. She was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church in Yorktown Heights along with her family. Her surviving children are Robert Dreier (Donna) of Avon, CT, Susan McKnight (Michael) of Ridgefield, CT, Karen Blinston (Bob) of Seneca, SC, Nancy Dreier-Lawrence of Wakefield, RI, Janet Mueller (Tom) of West Kingston, RI, Walter Dreier (Diane) of Yorktown Heights, NY, Clara Andersen (Paul) of Somers, NY, Jeff Dreier (Patty) of Mahopac, NY, Cathy Hemick of Yorktown Heights, NY and Matthew Dreier (Tammi) of Okinawa, Japan. Jane is also survived by her loving sister, Sister Kathyrn Wrinn, many nieces and nephews and their families, her extended family including Sister Ruth and Bron, and her loving friends. We are deeply grateful to the many people who provided such caring support over the last few months including the wonderful, compassionate staff at Brightview Commons, Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, and Cathleen Naughton Associates. Jane’s funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ the King, 180 Old North Rd., Kingston, RI 02881 on Wednesday, April 20th at 11:00 AM. Her graveside service will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old Colony Rd., Meriden, CT. on Thursday, April 21st at 11:00 AM.
