James White

James White, 88, of Westerly, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was the husband of the late Daisy F. (Stanton) White. Mr. White was a foreman in the maintenance department of the Providence Journal Company for many years before retiring. He was also a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of the Fisherman’s Club of Rhode Island. He is survived by his daughter, Elnora Louise White-King of Southampton, NY; four stepchildren, Albert James Hazard, Jr. of Frederickstead, St. Croix, Lawrence Ray Hazard of Ledyard, CT, Evelyn Marie Hazard-Burke of Preston, CT, Ida Elizabeth Rounseville of Jewett City, CT, Valarie Jones of San Diego, CA and Billy Cohen of Franklin, MA; five grandchildren, Lashann Andrade-Hazard, Natasha Lacey, Nichole Johnson, Derek Earl Hazard, Jr. and Blaison Hazard. He was the step-father of the late Derek Earl Hazard. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 10-11 am with a funeral service at 11 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be private.
