James L. Jimbo Northup, Jr.

July 29, 1965 — November 16, 2017

James "Jimbo" L. Northup Jr., of Frankfort, Maine and Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, November 16th 2017. Born in Westerly RI, on July 29, 1965, he was the son of Evelyn R. Northup and the late James L Northup Sr. He leaves behind two daughters, Angelica Brissette, and her husband Jordan of Wrentham Mass, and Alexandria M. Northup of Frankfort Maine. He also leaves behind his step son Gunner R. Siverly. He was the brother of Timothy T. Northup and his wife Stephanie of West Kingston, RI and George Foley Sr. of Rhode Island. He leaves many close friends behind that meant the world to him. Jimbo was a commercial fisherman for many years, most recently for the F/V Prevail, out of Point Judith, RI. He was a free spirited, care free, dare devil who loved riding his motorcycle as "One eyed Jim", being with friends, having fun, but mostly his beautiful, beloved daughters. A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held Monday, November 20th from 4:00- 6:00 pm from the Avery-Storti Funeral home, in Wakefield, RI. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pt. Judith's Fisherman's Scholarship Fund in Jimbo's name, PO Box 386, Narragansett, RI, 02882.
