James R. Mccarthy

James R. McCarthy, 42, of Carolina, died unexpectedly Sunday in Vermont. He was the husband of Gail (Giambazi) McCarthy. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of Carol (Tetreault) McCarthy and the late F. Robert McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy was a Regional Sales Specialist for SmartPill Corp. He just recently completed a five year term serving on the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Chapter of the MS Society and always took part in the Annual MS150 Bike Tour. Jim will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love and devotion for his wife and children, being passionate about music, his guitars and his work. He had a profound effect on people, making friends with everyone he met. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his twin children, Brynn and Nicholas McCarthy at home; his brothers, Kevin McCarthy and his wife Kristin of Marblehead, MA; Kirk McCarthy and his wife Lauren of Cumberland; his sister Karen Rezendes and her husband Ernie of Chepachet; his father-in-law Jim Giambazi of Cumberland; his brother-in-law Michael Giambazi and his wife Diane of North Providence; his grandfather George Tetreault and his wife Dorothy of Cumberland. A Funeral service will be Monday at 11 AM in St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 15 East Beach Road, Charlestown. Burial will follow in White Brook Cemetery in Richmond. Visiting hours are at the AVERY-STORTI Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Sunday 3-7 PM.
