James L. Given

James Leo Given, 79, of Wakefield, passed away on Sunday December 22, 2019. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James H. and Loretta I. (Donahue) Given. Jim was the former owner of Creative Ceramics in Needham, MA. before moving to Florida. While in Florida Jim became a CNA and worked caring for the elderly and infirmed. Jim had a deep devotion to his faith, especially the Blessed Mother. Jim is survived by his brothers, Philip D. Given of Cranston, RI. and Paul A. Given of Plymouth, His nieces, Katherine Fox, Patricia Thomas, Diane Roche, Joan Spaulding, Marybeth Matrone, Pamala Keep and Susan Goodrich, his nephews, James Given, William Given, Paul Given,, Jr., James Timmins and the late Thomas Given. He was predeceased by his partner, John A. Berlo; and his sister Barbara M. Timmins. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11am in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will be private.
