Jacquelyn G. Piez

Jacquelyn G. Piez, 83, of Wakefield, died Wednesday, September 16th. She was the wife of the late Brinton “Brit” C. Piez. Born in Galeana, IL, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Dalah (Horsley) Stoewer. Mrs. Piez was employed for the Town of South Kingstown, working in the Building Inspector’s Office. She also had worked for the South County Tourism Bureau and was a seamstress. Mrs. Piez was past President, and a long standing member of the General Federation Women’s Clubs of RI (GFWC of RI), a 50 year member of the Kingston Congregational Church, where she served as a deacon and on many committees, a volunteer at South County Hospital, and a member of the Galilee Beach Club. She is survived by a son, Scott Piez of South Kingstown; two daughters, Deborah Piez of Baltimore, Cynthia Piez-Pacheco and her husband William of Wakefield; a sister, Margo Gates of California; four grandchildren, Colby and Brittany Pacheco, Kayli and Kelsi Piez. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Sunday, September 27th from 2-5 PM. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday October 3rd, in the Kingston Congregational Church. Burial will be private.
