Jacob D. Hansen

Jacob D. Hansen, 14, of Charlestown, a loving, gentle and caring young man who always put others first and was an inspiration to all, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 after a courageous battle, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his father Steven Hansen, mother Shannon (Beaulieu) Pickering and her husband James; sister, Jamie Lyn Pickering; grandparents, Carol and Kenneth Beaulieu and Katherine and William Nagle; aunts, Nicole Powell, Ann Marie Murphy and Mary Leslie; uncles, Michael, Paul, James, Robert, John and the late Bruce Hansen. Jacob was a 9th grade student at Chariho High School. He loved life, traveling and amusement parks. He was an avid Patriots fan. Jacob enjoyed listening to music, animals, and video games. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 24, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale.
