Jack L. Bishop, Jr.

Jack L. Bishop Jr., 65, of Ashaway passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 5, 2015. He was the loving husband of Elaine (Sherman) Bishop for eighteen years. Born in Wakefield, he was the son of the late Jack L. Bishop Sr. and Josephine (Tacelli) Bishop. Jack was a senior custodian at the University of Rhode Island before retiring. He was a US Marine Veteran of Vietnam and Desert Storm. Jack was a member of Joy Fellowship in Bradford. He enjoyed quahauging, fishing, hunting and gardening. Besides his wife he is survived by Monica Pereira, Charlotte Cullen, Gregory Morrow; nine grandchildren and his loving dog Simon. He was the father of the late Jessica Bishop and Kerry Chambers. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
