J. Kendall Bancroft

J. Kendall Bancroft, 95, of Wakefield, died Tuesday at South Bay Manor. He was the husband of the late Callie (Young) Bancroft. Born in Tyngsboro, MA, he was the son of the late Chester and Lottie (Upton) Bancroft. Mr. Bancroft was a tree farmer in Tyngsboro for many years before retiring. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and walking. He was a grange member in MA, NH and FL for over 70 years and also lived in St. Cloud, FL for many years. He leaves a son, J. Whitney Bancroft of Wakefield; a daughter Beth A. Plutchak of Boxboro, MA; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday Dec. 27th at 10:30 AM in Wakefield Baptist Church, 236 Main St., Wakefield. Burial will be private.
