Isabel Woodruff, 93, born in Pawtucket, RI and a resident of Narragansett most of her life, went home to the Lord and the rest of her family. Isabel left because she had done it all. She had loved fully, lived honestly, and encouraged constantly. Isabel passed peacefully after completing the Lord’s plan for her on this earth. Isabel was married to John L. Woodruff for 70 years and was predeceased by her loving husband and two sons, Jeffrey and Glenn. She leaves a son, John in Narragansett. Isabel came from humble beginnings, married, raised a family in a loving home, worked in business and for the University of Rhode Island. She was an optimistic woman filled with love and compassion for family and friends. She refused to let the world change her, and she spent her days with the people she loved and thought that was victory enough. Isabel lived an incredibly rich and rewarding life, she knew who she was and what she hoped for. Isabel faced all of life’s obstacles, disappointments, and struggles with courage and acceptance. Isabel was the sunlight and rain for her family, and leaves us better for her caring and the decency she lived with among us. Isabel was one of the kindest friends you could ever have, lived a life of few regrets, and those of us who love her know that with faith, she’ll always be with us.
