Isabel L. Stanton

Isabel L. Stanton, 92. of Westerly, passed away Thursday. She was the wife of the late Courtland C. Stanton, Jr. Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Jane (Young) Perry. Mrs. Stanton was a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia A.(Stanton) Sampson of Westerly and Debbie P. Stanton of Narragansett; three sisters, Lillian Perry Weeden of Wood River Junction, Elsie Perry Hazard of Peace Dale, and Alice Perry Neves of Newport; ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson; and step-sister of Booker Williams, Juanita Monk, Rose Whitford, and Betty Whitford. She was the mother of the late Courtland C. Stanton, III, and Paula Stanton; sister of the late Clara Perry Skuce, Violet Perry Ortiz, Edward, Clarence, Warren, Charles, Arthur and Raymond Perry; and step-sister of the late Shirley Andrews A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will take place at a later date in New Fernwood Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
