Irene “Hank” Chaisson, 72, of Charlestown, died Tuesday. She was the beloved companion of the late Joseph Krukowski. Born in Athol, MA, she was a daughter of the late Xavier and Bella (Dugay) Goupil. Mrs. Chaisson was employed for Sikorsky Aircraft and was an active member of St. Mary Church in Carolina. She will be remembered as a caring and giving person in her community. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Hoffman, her caregiver, of Northport, Fl, Carol Nash of Charlestown, and a brother, Vernon Goupil of Athol, MA. She was the loving grandmother of Kylie Nash, Tyler Nash, serving with the US Navy, Jeremy Hoffman, serving with the US Army, and Justin Hoffman, and she was the care giver of James Krukowski of Charlestown. The funeral will be 8:45 AM Saturday from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary Church, 437 Carolina Back Road, Carolina. Burial will be Monday at 11:30 AM in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol, MA. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8 PM.
