Irene M. Alexander

Irene M. Alexander, 75, of Charlestown, passed away Friday. She was the wife of the late Paul Alexander. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Mulvey) Demus. Mrs. Alexander was a self-trained artist and she enjoyed gardening, and bird watching. She is survived by a son and his wife, Robert and Laurie Pearce of Charlestown; two grandchildren, Melissa Pearce of North Kingstown and Daniel Pearce of Matunuck; two brothers, Bill Demus of Hanover Park, Il and Jack Demus of Warwick; and her faithful companion Eddie.; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late John Pearce and sister of the late Anna Mulvey. A celebration of her life will be celebrated Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private.
