Horatio Ray Stanton

Horatio “Ray” Stanton, 75, of Richmond, died Sunday, February 27, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Gloria (Lindsay) Stanton. Born in Hopkinton, he was a son of the late Courtland and Ida (Babcock) Stanton. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Laurie Hazard of CT, and was the brother of Philip Stanton of Wood River Junction, Freida Johnson of South Kingstown, Jacqueline Jones of Florida, and Evangeline Hankinson of Ashaway. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late, Courtland Stanton, Jr., Charles Stanton, Daisy Hazard, Sarah Tavares, Ida Cumbo and Mildred Babcock. A memorial service will be 1:30 PM Thursday at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private.
