Holly M. Manchester

Holly McCabe Manchester, 60, of Exeter, Rhode Island, passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, April 28, 2023.

Holly was the daughter of Betty McCabe and the late Thomas McCabe and was raised in Wakefield, RI. She was a graduate of South Kingstown High School and she completed her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at the University of Rhode Island. Holly is remembered as a remarkable woman. She was a passionate teacher, mentor, mother, grandmother, wife and friend.

Holly enjoyed an active lifestyle - watersports, skiing, biking, her softball team, girls’ trips and especially being on the water and at the beach. She was a devoted teacher who shared her passion for learning with hundreds of students for over thirty years at Charlestown and Richmond Elementary Schools.

Holly is survived by her dedicated husband of 37 years, Paul Manchester, her two children Jaclyn Manchester Hogan, Kyle Manchester, son-in-law Richard Hogan, and three grandchildren, Thomas, Raegan and Finnian. She is also survived by her three siblings Alison McCabe, Hugh McCabe, Erica West and their families.

Holly’s fierce determination, vitality, creativity and adventurous spirit will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. A Celebration of Life is being planned for July 8th with details to be announced by the family at a later date.
