Hobart C. Wyncoop

Hobart C. Wyncoop, Jr, 89, of Matunuck School House Rd, Charlestown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at Brookdale South Bay Nursing Home. Born in Elizabeth, PA, he was the son of the late Hobart and Hanna (Rubesne) Wyncoop. He was the husband of the late Anna Santangelo of New London, CT and the late Myrtle Grinnell of Charlestown, RI. He served in the United States Coast Guard and was retired from Pfizer in Groton, CT. He enjoyed gardening and working as a bus monitor for Ocean State Transit in Wood River Junction, RI. Hobart will be missed by his children, Ralph Wyncoop of Norwich, CT and Brinda Hagan and her husband Dan of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandchildren, Lora Durham, Wendy Leon, Tommy Hagan, Brian Wyncoop, and Anna Morgana; his nieces and nephews; and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Jack Wyncoop and his sister Mary Wayman. He is survived by his brother James Wyncoop of Buena Vista, CA. Calling hours are omitted. Burial will be private at the RI Veteran’s Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
