Henry "Arnie" Garceau, 72, of Narragansett, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of the late Henry and Marjorie (Arnold) Garceau. Henry served honorably in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam Era. He was a restaurant owner, owning various restaurants in the area, most notably Mercedes Ocean House. His love of food combined with his love of people and story telling always made him the life of the party. After closing his last restaurant in Narragansett, he moved to Winter Haven Florida. There he made countless friends who golfed and fished and most importantly wined and dined with him. He always loved hosting friends and family at his home in Florida. Years ago he moved back to Narragansett to be close to his family. He is survived by his loving children, Tyler Garceau of Narragansett, Allison Knight of Wakefield, and Lindsay Holmes of Narragansett; his grandchildren, Willa, Maxwell, Travis, Zoe, Hunter, Dylan, Marley and Chloe. His siblings Jeannine, Renee, Robert John and Frank. In lieu of traditional services the family will be holding a celebration of life to be held at Spain of Narragansett on Saturday July 20th from 2-4pm.
