Helen M. Smith

Helen M. Smith, 77, of Richmond passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14th surrounded by her family. She was born in South Kingstown, to her loving parents Norman and Helen (Roy) Arnold. She and her husband Lawrence Smith were happily married for 55 years.

She loved her students and fellow teachers at North Kingstown High School. She was a member of Christ the King Church and sang in the choir. She wholeheartedly joined into model trains with her husband Lawrence.

She is survived by her husband Lawrence, brother Norman, sister Dorinda and daughter Katherine. She is predeceased by her parents Norman and Helen Arnold.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 18th from 4-7 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, 02879. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 19th at 10 am in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd., Kingston 02881. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
