Helen M. Silvia

Helen M. Silvia, 92, of Wakefield, died Friday. She was the wife of the late John F. Silvia. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Mary (Grant) Lennon. Mrs. Silvia was a Registered Nurse, working in hospitals and as a private duty nurse. Helen enjoyed playing bingo,cards, and spending time with her loving extended family and her many friends at Indian Run Village. She is survived by seven children and their spouses, Helen and Bruce Martin of Portsmouth, Patricia Silvia of Wakefield, Geraldine and Jimmy Laxson of Dallas, TX, John F. Silvia, Jr. of Wakefield, Eileen and Lawrence Anderson of Richmond, Thomas Silvia and Molly Marks of Wakefield, and Mary R. Silvia-Strawderman and husband Paul of Narragansett; twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday at St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Sunday 4-6 PM.
