Helen Susan Kearns

Helen Susan Kearns, 83, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 . She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on June 29, 1938. Helen attended Rhode Island College and went on to attain her master’s degree in Education from the University of Connecticut . She had a 30-year career teaching elementary school in the Providence School district. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, cross country skiing, reading and watching UConn Huskies basketball. She loved her many dogs over the years. She had a very kind and generous heart and was wonderful to all her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents David T. Kearns Sr. and May (Rigby) Kearns, bother David T. Kearns Jr. and sister Anne M. Lally. She is survived by her sister Mary Lou Norcross of CT. , nieces and nephews: Rick, Steve, Jim Norcross of CT., Mary Lou Merli of CT, Peg Ryan of RI, Ed Ryan of UT and Maureen Ryan Curran of NY, and her lifelong friend Jo-Ann Welsh of RI. Funeral services will be private.
