Helen E. Karpowicz

Helen E. Karpowicz (Reeves), 93, of Scallop Shell Nursing Home, Peace Dale, RI, formerly of Belmont, MA, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Peter Karpowicz. The world’s nicest and kindest woman, loved by all she touched. Wonderful mother of Paul Karpowicz and his wife Susan of Hudson, MA; Gayle Symonds and her husband Stephen of Charlestown, RI; and Kenneth Karpowicz and his wife Alyson of Wellesley, MA; grandmother of Andrew and Kristin Symonds and Matthew Karpowicz. Great grandmother of Oliver, son of Kristin and her fiancée Marc Pato. Daughter of the late George and Helen Reeves. Sister of Ann Marie Dunlea, Frances Eppich and the late Louise Renehan, Mildred Lowd, and George Reeves. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, RI on Tuesday, March 17 from 10 am to 11 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 in St. Francis Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield, RI. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 S. County Trail, Exeter, RI at 1:00.
