Helen Mary Ferris

Helen Mary Ferris, 95, of Whitford Street. passed away on August 16, 2017. She was the wife of the late Milton W. Ferris. Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Apolonia (Sorota) Wojcik. Mrs. Ferris worked with the handicapped children of Rhode Island for many years. She enjoyed antiquing, cooking, opera, and was a talented seamstress. She is survived by her daughters Elaine Varrecchione and Janice Wright both of Wakefield; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children Patricia and Jeffrey Clark, Arthur and Albert Ferris. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation period from 9:00 am -9:30 am Tuesday August 22, 2017 at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd, Kingston, RI, 02881. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Rhode Island.
