Hazel Eileen Stafford

Hazel Eileen Stafford, 98, of Wakefield, died Wednesday. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Starr Stafford. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Grace H. (Page) Sammis. Mrs. Stafford was a kindergarten teacher for many school systems, including Narragansett, Kingston, Ashaway, Richmond and Charlestown. She enjoyed playing the piano, writing poetry and travelling with her husband with his collection of Antique Cars. She is survived by two daughters, Grace Eileen Jackson of Ewa Beach, HI and Brenda Starr Stafford of Wakefield, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday February 20th at 4 Pm in the Kingston Congregational Church, 2610 Kingstown Road, Kingston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
