Harold W. Red Storey

September 30, 1923 — February 16, 2010

Harold W. "Red" Storey, 86 of Carolina, died Tuesday at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Irene Nahod-Storey and they were married 42 years. Born and raised in Barrington, he was the son of the late Harold P. and Mary (Sherson) Storey. Mr. Storey was employed by Sun Oil Company for 38 years; then by Drake Petroleum/Warren Oil for 10 years. He served in the US Navy during WW II from 1943-1946 and was stationed in Pearl Harbor. Mr. Storey had previously lived in South Yarmouth, MA, before moving to Carolina two years ago. He enjoyed golfing daily, was a member of the Hole-in-One Club at the South Yarmouth Country Club, enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a great card player. Besides his wife, he is survived by five children; William P Storey of Jamestown, Daniel M. Storey of West Palm Beach, Fl, Virginia M. Storey of Bennington, NH, Pamela A. Storey of Jamestown and Alicia J. Storey of Carolina; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Virginia Mary Wojtyto. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM in St. Mary Church, 437 Carolina Back Road (Rt. 112), Carolina. Burial with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Sunday, 4-7 PM.
