Harold Philip Rowe, 84, of Charlestown, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019. He was the loving husband of 52 years to Shirley (Fitzgerald) Rowe. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frank and Viola (Lury) Rowe. Harold worked for over 30 years as a caster at Torinos Manufacturing and at Chronomantic Casting for 15 years. He was an avid Red Sox Fan and bowler, bowling up until the day before he went into the hospital in June. His family took him out of the nursing home, so he could enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas at home with his family, days that will be forever treasured. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Laurie Gobin of Troy, Kansas, son Brian Rowe and his wife Gayle of Groton CT; grandchildren Ashley, Samantha Jones, Alyson Gobin, Jeremy and wife Eleonor, Joshua, Jacob Rowe, and one beautiful great-granddaughter Ryleigh Walker; two sisters Rita Cogan and Margie Bassett, both of Warwick; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 10-11 am followed by a service at 11 am in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield.
