Harold Walfred Johnson, Jr., 90, of Hope Valley, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 21st, at home surrounded by his family. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Harold W., Sr. and Mildred E. (Greene) Johnson. He was the proprietor of Harold W. Johnson Enterprises which founded many businesses in the area including Johnson’s/Sunrise Oil in Hope Valley, and the former Sundown Lounge. He served honorably in the United States Army during World War II, and he was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, the Elks, the Moose, and The Eagles organizations, all in the Daytona Beach, Florida area. He is survived by a daughter Kimberly Seita and her husband Michael; a daughter-in-law Elizabeth Johnson; a grandson Dustin Johnson; and a sister Judy Stedman and her husband Sam. He was predeceased by a son David B. Johnson, and his siblings Robert, Kenneth, Donald, Francis, Barbara, and Winifred. Funeral services will be private.
