Harold August Johnson

Harold A. Johnson, 86 of South Kingstown, RI passed away on August 12th. He was the son of the late John A. Johnson and Lillian (Peterson) Johnson. He was the beloved husband of Katherine F. (Downs) Johnson for 61 years.

In his early life, Harold attended East Providence High School where he graduated and joined the U.S. Navy.

Harry enjoyed sports, especially watching his team, the Cleveland Browns. He spent many vacations in the mountains of New Hampshire, listening to Willie Nelson and enjoying a cold PBR. He spent many joyful years with his grandsons taking care of them and attending their sporting events.

Besides his wife, Harold leaves behind his children, Keith A. Johnson and Kristen (Johnson) Hopper; grandsons, Jake Johnson, Brody Johnson, and Matthew Hopper.

He is predeceased by his daughter, Beth (Johnson) Lessard and grandson, Nicholas Hopper.

Harold was the brother of the late Lynden Johnson, Donald Johnson, David Johnson and Mavis (Johnson) Scholl, his twin sister. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 15th from 4-5 pm in Avery Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 5 pm.
