H. Michael Baton

H. Michael Baton, 63, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 24th, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte (Hunt) Baton for 38 years. Born in Annapolis, Maryland, he was the son of the late William and Marie (Faella) Baton. Raising his children with his wife, they enjoyed snowmobiling, boating and family vacations. In recent years, he enjoyed camping with family and friends, and recently rediscovered playing the guitar. Mike will be remembered as a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Tracie Moretti and three grandchildren, Shane, Sara and Lily, of St. Petersburg, FL; his sons Nicholas Moretti and wife Jennifer of East Greenwich, and Kent Baton and wife Stephanie, of Providence; and brothers, Bill Baton of Annapolis, MD and Bob Blinn of Chicopee, MA. A memorial service will be held at the Elks Lodge (60 Belmont Ave, Wakefield) on Sunday, March 6th at 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon and celebration of Mike’s life.
