Guadolupe Lou Torres

March 6, 1924 — January 21, 2015

Guadolupe “Lou” Torres, 90, of West Kingston, passed away on Wednesday. He was the husband of Eileen Barbara (Clark) Torres. Born in Tucson, Arizona, Mr. Torres entered the United States Navy and became a fighter pilot, retiring in 1973. After serving his country, he became an Engineer for Lockheed Aircraft. He will be remembered for supporting numerous charities. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Kathleen McCartney of Vero Beach, Florida; three grandchildren, Brian McCartney of San Diego, CA, Kristen Piemontese of Marino Valley, California, and Kelly McCartney of Vero Beach, Florida; and four great-grandchildren. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Saturday 1-3 pm followed by a a funeral service at 4 pm in St Peter’s By-the-Sea Church, 72 Central Street, Narragansett. Burial will be private at a later date in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to RISPCA, 186 Amaral Street, East Providence, RI 02915, or to a veteran’s organization of your choice.
