Gregory Fecht

Gregory Fecht of Charlestown, RI passed away peacefully on March 2, 2022, after a long illness. Susan Lampron, his wife of seventeen years was by his side. Greg was born in Rosedale, NY to the late George and Evelyn (Ambert) Fecht. Introduced by a mutual friend, Greg met his wife in 2001. They shared a long-distance romance until their marriage in 2004. After their marriage, he moved full time to Charlestown, RI where they settled into a home near the beach. Though born in NY and a true Yankee fan, Greg found great happiness in RI. Before retiring, Greg was a member of IATSE Local 52. He worked as a studio mechanic or set dresser on both movie and televisions sets. Travel was one of his greatest pleasures and he and Susan traveled frequently. Some of their favorite destinations were Hawaii, Alaska, and the Caribbean. He leaves behind five siblings: Nancy Kruger of Virginia, and Pamela Madison, Laurie Posimato and Douglas Fecht, all of New York. He was also a loving uncle to ten nieces and nephews, and their children. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Wakefield Dialysis Center and at South County Nursing and Rehab for providing exceptional care and quality of life for Greg. There will be a private Celebration of Life at a future date.
