Gregory L. Dessart

Gregory L. Dessart, 62, of South Niantic Dr., Charlestown, died suddenly after a long illness at Westerly Hospital. He was the husband of Jean (Knobloch) Dessart. Born in Hoboken, NJ, he was the son of the late Albert F. and Marie T. (Glennon) Dessart. Mr. Dessart was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as an Auto Parts manager for Chrysler for twenty two years. He was a member of Arches Property Association. He enjoyed boating, clamming, crabbing, welding and watching football. Besides his wife he leaves his sons, Shawn, Chris and Bruce and his grandson Daniel. He was brother of the late Allen Dessart. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 PM followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial with military honors will be at a time to be announced in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
