Grace Marie Wheelan

Grace Marie Wheelan, 64, of Kingstown Rd., Narragansett, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at South County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Daniel Wheelan. Born in Albuquerque, NM, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Barbara (McCanna) MacLeod. Grace was a master upholsterer and owner of The Seating Arrangement in Peace Dale. She was a former President of The South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce, and a former member of the South County Tourism Council, the Business and Professional Women, and the South Kingstown Lions Club. She also co-chaired the South County Relay For Life for two years. She enjoyed boating and watching soccer. She was the loving mother of Sean and Drew Wheelan; loving grandmother of Andrew Wheelan; sister of Teri McLane, Julie Meade, Diane Crandall, Kathleen Abbott and Charles MacLeod. The funeral will be Tuesday 9:00 a.m. from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South County Relay For Life through relayforgrace.com.
