Grace M. Pesta

Grace M. Pesta, 96, of Peace Dale, died Saturday July 21, 2012. She was the wife of the late Joseph Pesta. Born in Peace Dale, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Vitale) Dinonsie. Mrs. Pesta worked as a clerk at Woolworths and later as a supervisor in food service at U.R.I. before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of its women’s club and was on the board of directors at the South Kingstown Senior Center. She leaves a son, Michael Pesta and his wife Kathleen of Wakefield; granddaughters, Martha Smith and Amy Sloan and a sister, Gloria Nolan of Wakefield. She was sister of the late John, Pasquale and Joseph Dinonsie, Elizabeth Holland and Mary Mignanelli. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jonnycake Center, 1231 Kingstown Rd., Wakefield, RI 02879.
