Gloria R. Kelly

Gloria R. Kelly, 83, of Wakefield, died Sunday, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Major Francis H. Kelly. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Hulda (Hoddell) Calderone. Mrs. Kelly was a communicant of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Narragansett, was an active member of the church and a caring volunteer throughout the community. She will be remembered as being devoted to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by three sons, James Kelly in Virginia, Terrance Kelly of South Kingstown, and Kevin Kelly of North Kingstown; four daughters, Frances Day of Lisbon, NH, Catherine Bond of Arlington, TX, Marybeth Krupinski of Philadelphia, PA, and Christine Kelly of Westborough, MA; a sister Lillian DelGuidice of Providence; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Thursday 5-7 PM.
