Gloria J. Holloway

Gloria J. Holloway, 73, of Wakefield, passed away Friday, November 27th. She was the beloved wife of Elwin I. Holloway. Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Margaret (Boisvert) Stringer. Mrs. Holloway was employed by the State of Rhode Island as a Group Home Supervisor, retiring in 2006 after 28 years. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 39, and she enjoyed reading, crafts, and puzzles. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Joseph P. Pignolet of East Falmouth, MA and Elwin I. Holloway, Jr. of Louisiana, two daughters Tara L. Holloway of Narragansett and Tammy L. Kinsey of Warwick; and fifteen grandchildren. She was the sister of the late James H. Stringer, Peggy Ann Denton, and Marie Ann McKee. Due to social restrictions funeral services will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
