Gloria G. Czerkas

Gloria G. Czerkas, 87, of Kingston, died peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Edward J. Czerkas. Born in Hartford, CT, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna (Arena) Composto. Mrs. Czerkas spent most of her life in Connecticut and Florida before moving to Rhode Island in 1996. A devoted wife and mother who, in her earlier years, enjoyed round dancing. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons: Louis F. Chrostowski, Jr. and his partner Douglas Shapiro of South Kingstown, and Steven J. Chrostowski and his partner Linda Gerry of Boston, MA; a niece, Joan Mazzotta and her husband Carl of Middletown, CT; a nephew, Donald Uricchio of Old Saybrook, CT; a great niece, Marisa Mazzotta and her husband John Repoza of Charlestown; and a great nephew, Robert Mazzotta and his wife Bethann of Darien, CT.
