Gloria Dragon Cronin, "Aunt Go-Go" 91, of Narragansett, RI passed away peacefully on November 13, 2016. She was the wife of the late James F. Cronin. Born in Providence to the late Paul A. and Maude W. (South) Dragon. Gloria worked as a buyer at the Navy Outpost in Quonset, RI and as the front desk receptionist at the Dunes Club in Narragansett, RI for many years before retiring at 81. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts and a troop leader for the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and loved the ocean. Her later years were spent traveling the country with her companion the late Quentin Walsh. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jacquelyn Buiniskas, daughter-in-law, Ann Steinberger, and her granddaughter Kate Thomas and her husband Brian Thomas .A loving aunt to Donald Dragon Jr, Lynne Dragon, Laurie Dragon Lessly, Collen DeBenedetto, Kimberly Ryan, and Allison Walker. A great- aunt to Danielle, Derek and Deanna Dragon, Brianne Silvestri, James Ryan, David and Sydney Lessly, Madison Walker, and Anthony and Kairat DeBenedetto. She was a great-great aunt to Violet and Isla Silvestri.She was predeceased by her son, Steven J. Cronin, her son-in-law, David Buiniskas, her brothers, Paul, Donald and Lloyd Dragon, and sisters-in-law, Roberta Dragon and Janice Dragon. Visiting hours will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 from 10:30-12:30 pm at Avery-Storti Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Avery-Storti following the viewing at 12:30. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Point Judith Fishermen’s Memorial Foundation, P.O. Box 3315 Narragansett, RI 02882.
