Gina L. Johnson

Gina L. Johnson, 59, of South Kingstown, passed away Wednesday, December 13th. She was born and raised in South Kingstown, RI to her loving parents, the late Charles and Barbara (Champlin) Sekator.

Gina adored spending time with family and friends, and was always the life of the party for those who would gather in masses at barbecues and fires she’d host! Cooking, dancing, and listening to music brought joy to her life daily as well, evident in the smile she always wore on her face and her laughter that came straight from her heart! Loved ones always enjoyed adding to her massive collection of turtle figurines; another passion of Gina’s and a symbol of the Narragansett Tribe whom she was a member of. She lived life, laughed often, and loved deeply!

Gina is survived by her son, Blaine Sekator, granddaughter, Nevaeh, sister, Lorrie “Penny” Sekator, brother, Charles Sekator, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Barbara (Champlin) Sekator, and brother Todd Sekator.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 27th from 3-5 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, 02879. Burial will be private.
