Gertrude Louise Sadlowski

Gertrude Louise Sadlowski (Menzel), 90, of Charlestown, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Sadlowski. Born in Madison, Connecticut, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Caroline (Essewein) Menzel. Mrs. Sadlowski loved her pets, antiques, gardening, and metal detecting. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy A. Harvey and her husband James of Charlestown and Carol Ellithorpe and her husband David of Fountain Hills, Arizona; a son, Joseph A. Sadlowski of Connecticut; two grandchildren Tracy Rosko and Daniel Halsey; two great-grandchildren, Emily Rosko and Randy Rosko; and a brother, Arthur Menzel of Vermont. She was the sister of the late Marvin Menzel. Funeral services are private. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Foster Parrots, Ltd., PO Box 34, Hope Valley, RI 02832.
