Gerard James Mcdavitt, Jr.

Gerard “Gerry” J. McDavitt Jr, age 74, of Narragansett, entered eternal life peacefully on August 9th, 2024. Born in Providence, the late son of Gerard and Dorothy McDavitt Sr.

Gerry was a man of strong Faith and an active participant at Christ the King Church for many years. He worked in a number of advertising companies throughout his career. He loved his Irish Heritage and took many trips to Ireland. He was passionate about tilling the ground and planting flowers to enhance the beauty of the land which brought much enjoyment to all passersby. He will be remembered as a devoted son, good big brother, wonderful man, generous and kind.

He is survived by his siblings, Sharon McDavitt Cemelich, Jim McDavitt, Mary Ellen McDavitt Garcia, Bill McDavitt, and Tim McDavitt. Many cousins, nieces and nephews and close friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10 am, in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd., Kingston, RI. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
