Gerard “Jerry” J. Tremblay, 72, of Wakefield, RI passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. A son of the late Gerard and Doris (Blette) Tremblay and the loving husband of 32 years to Rochelle (Haslam) Tremblay, Jerry was a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School, class of 1972, and a longtime resident of Wakefield.

Jerry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending much of his time out on the water in his boat, the “Alexis Jean”, with his friends, especially after his retirement. He and his friends would often get together to go out for seafood. Jerry was a devoted husband and loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could always be heard laughing and joking around with others.

In addition to his loving wife, Rochelle, Jerry is survived by his son, Jerry Tremblay of Cranston, RI; his wife’s children, Kerie Bouchard and her husband Brock of Richmond, RI, James Briggs III and his wife Victoria, and Jason Briggs and his wife Kelsey, both of South Kingstown, RI; his grandchildren, Alexis, James IV, Kylie, Shane, Krysta, Brock Jr., Benjamin, Madilynn, Mackenzie and Ronan; his great grandchild, Jasper; and his siblings, Suzanne Lavalle and her husband Norman of Cranston, RI, Jeannette Tremblay of Warwick, RI, Carolyn Taraborelli and her husband Steven of Narragansett, RI, and Joseph Tremblay of Holly Springs, GA, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Patricia Tremblay and the brother of the late Arlene Almeida.

Arrangements are in the care of Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI 02879. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 4-7PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 8:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 128 High St. Wakefield, RI 02879. A Burial will be held at New Fernwood Cemetery, 3120 Kingstown Rd, Kingston, RI 02882.
