Geraldine M. Rookwood

Geraldine M. Rookwood (Marshall), 79, of Charlestown, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015, at Scallop Shell Nursing Home. She was the wife of John R. Rookwood for 56 years. Born in Mt. Kisco, NY, a daughter of the late Gerald and Julia (Cutler) Marshall. Mrs. Rookwood was the co-owner of Marshall Moving Systems for many years before retiring; an avid golfer; loved gardening and her dogs. Besides her husband she is survived by her sons, Mark Rookwood and his wife Francine of Pelham, NY, John Rookwood of Brewster, NY and her daughter, Laurie Broussard and her husband Stephen of Wappingers Falls, NY and seven grandchildren. She was the brother of the late Robert Marshall. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at 10 am in St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck School House Rd., Charlestown. Burial will be Friday at 1 pm in St. Francis Cemetery, Mt. Kisco, NY. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4-7 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI.
