Geraldine Foley

Geraldine Foley, 87, of Saugatucket Road, died on Monday in Kingston, MA. She was the wife of the late John K. Foley. Born in Uxbridge, MA, she was a daughter of the late John and Irma (Jones) Murphy. Surviving are, four children: Mary Lou Foley, Ellen Foley, Anne Foley-Alper, and Kevin Foley. She is also survived by her sister, Claire Aussant, six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Gerry was a graduate of Boston Childrens’ Hospital and for many years practiced at Providence Lying-In Hospital. She was also a veteran of WW II, serving as a nurse, First Lieutenant in the European Theater. The funeral will be 9 AM Friday from AVERY-STORTI Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Thursday, 5-7pm.
