Geraldine M. Addink

Gerri Addink (née Wynman), beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024. She was 74 years old. Born on August 19, 1950, in Cork, Ireland, Gerri was the cherished daughter of Bernard and Kathleen “Pat” Wynman.

Gerri grew up surrounded by the beauty of her Irish homeland, which nurtured her enduring love for family, travel, and her rich heritage. Gerri brought light and love to all who knew her. Her kind spirit, sharp wit, and generous heart were unmatched. While she had a deep passion for helping others, her greatest joy was always her family, whom she nurtured with unwavering devotion.

Gerri’s legacy is carried on by her daughter, Dana (Tim) Barker; her son, Darin (Roselly) Addink; her grandchildren, Taylor, Alexis, Eileen, Emma, Kenzie, Rosdary, Zeke, and Silas; and her siblings, Sandra, Pamela, and Raymond. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Kathleen, and her siblings, Elizabeth and Bernard. She also leaves behind her former husband, David Addink, with whom she shared many cherished years raising their children.

Those who knew Gerri will remember her for her warmth, love, devotion, and the countless ways she enriched the lives of others. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and grace, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Gerri’s life will be held on Sunday, December 22 from 2pm to 4pm, at The Harbor Church, 263 Waites Corner Rd, West Kingston RI 02892.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to The American Lung Association.
