George A. St. Germain

August 10, 1925 — December 12, 2010

George A. St. Germain, 85, of Kingston, died Sunday. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Casey) St. Germain for 54 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Louis A. and Laura M. (Tetreault) St. Germain. Mr. St. Germain was the founder and president of South County Surgical Supply until retiring in 1998. Prior to that he was employed by Providence Wholesale Drug and McKesson & Robbins Pharmaceuticals. He was an active member of Christ the King Church and he served in the US Army Infantry during WW II. Besides his wife he is survived by five daughters, Patricia A. St. Germain of Cranston, Laura L. St. Germain-Rooney of Pt. Lookout, NY, Joan M. St. Germain of Huntington, WV, Jane F. St. Germain-Stringer of Melrose, MA, and Margaret M. St. Germain of Brookline, MA; five grandchildren; three sisters, Claire Croteau of East Greenwich, Dorothy Cloos of Providence,, and Therese Tetreault of East Greenwich; and a sister-in-law, Terese St. Germain of Cumberland. He was the brother of the late Mrs. Laurence Hardy and Louis F. St. Germain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 AM at Christ the King church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Wednesday 4 – 8 PM.
