George Stanton Peckham, Iii

George S. Peckham, III, 61, of Riverside, died unexpectedly Wednesday at home. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia (Forbes) Peckham. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late George S., Jr. and Margaret M. (Hazard) Peckham. Mr. Peckham was a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Chante Forbes of Providence; four grandchildren, Dashaan, Issiah, Imiyah and Xavier Forbes; a sister, Agnes C. Sebastian of Peace Dale; and a brother Wilbur Stanton of Wakefield. He was the brother of the late Pearl P. Peckham, Gladys L. Hazard and Judy A. Johnson. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
