George K. Kollitides May 1, 1938 - June 24, 2016 Cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many, George K. Kollitides of Charlestown, RI passed away tragically during a visit to his birth country, Greece, on June 24th, 2016. He married Loret Savage Kollitides in Manhattan, NYC, was then joyful parent to George II and Melissa and later, "Pappou" to three precious grandsons. A graduate of Hunter College, NYC, George retired from Melard Technologies, Armonk, NY where he was VP of Manufacturing. In 1999, he moved fulltime to his beloved home in Tockwotten Cove, Charlestown, RI where he reveled in boating, clamming, motorcycle riding, gardening, fixing and puttering, always in the company of an ever-expanding circle of friends who he treated as family.
